PROPERTY
Briarcliff Nursery School is located on over two acres of beautiful property in the Town of Ossining. The school building contains three well-equipped early childhood classrooms. The expansive playground includes a water play area, large sand boxes, climbing equipment, swings, two playhouses, two riding areas with many ride-on vehicles and  a very large grass area. Children are free to explore, investigate and expand their knowledge of their environment, their physical abilities and social skills.  Outdoor play takes place everyday with the exception of rain and frigid weather.

PARENT COOPERATIVE
The school was established in 1947 as a not-for-profit parent cooperative. The school has owned its present site since 1955. The school is supervised by two boards made up of parent volunteers, The Board of Trustees and the Executive Committee. The Boards are responsible for the overall functioning of the school including school policy, annual budget, setting of tuition, salaries and all fund raising.

The school director is responsible for the educational program and works with the elected officers to set policy and operate the school.
